The Bell Vela Fusion Sport Bike Helmet is constructed with a fusion in-mold microshell, which utilizes the process of bonding the helmet's microshell to its EPS foam layer, rather than forming the two separately and taping them together later, to provide a sturdier, more solid helmet. This helmet features Bell's ErgoDial fit system to deliver an easy one-hand adjustment with the press of a button and slide of the dial for a firm, snug and comfortable stability. The Vela also features a removable snap-in visor, and cam-lock levers that make it easy to adjust the straps around your ears. For your comfort, this bicycle helmet includes 23 vents that allow cool, fresh air in and warm air out. The Vela helmet comes in Bell's Universal Women's size (50-57cm), weighs 298 grams, and complies with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's safety standards for bicycle helmets.

TECHNOLOGIES
CAM-LOCK LEVERS: Bell’s Cam-Lock strap levers make it easy to adjust the straps around your ears. Simply open the cam, position the strap comfortably and close the lever.
CHANNELED VENTILATION: Specially designed ventilation channels on the interior of the helmet's liner bring cool air in through the front, pass it over the head and flush warm air out of the rear ports. These deeply sculpted channels are designed to keep air moving whether you're bombing it at 30 mph, or huffing it uphill at single digit speed.

FUSION IN-MOLD MICROSHELL: In-molding is the process of bonding the helmet’s Microshell to its EPS foam layer to provide a sturdier, more solid helmet. The EPS foam is shot into the thin Microshell cap when it’s in the mold--rather than formed separately and taped on later. This process was pioneered by Bell and is now the industry standard for high-end helmets.

My wife purchased this before seeing that the universal size went only up to 57cm. Out of the box it did not fit and she was going to send it back but then she discovered the sizing dial on the back and found that it did fit her head after adjusting the dial and after she mildly adjusted the chin straps as well. She had purchased a larger (58cm+ size) helmet at the same time only to find that it didn't fit as securely because but was sized up and had some pressure points and she says this Bell helmet fits securely without being too snug and doesn't have any pressure points. The black/gold/purple is pretty much the same as shown in the picture. My wife says the visor worked well, too.
