Visibility is a big part of the Muni story, with a pair of integrated rear flashing lights which come as standard equipment. A rear strap allows even more lighting to be added by simply clipping on a rear flasher-we suggest the ultra minimalist Blackburn Flea 2.0 Rear-while a sleek, seamless perch built into the Blade Visor Plus accommodates the diminutive but bright Blackburn Front Flea light. Strap adjustments and sizing are nearly automatic thanks to the helmet's OneStep Plus fit system that-after a couple quick out-of-the-box adjustments-snugs to a custom fit every time you ride. Carrying over from its predecessors, the Metropolis and Citi, is the Flip Mirror-a super adjustable mirror that clips to special grooves in the visor and stows away neatly when not in use. Rounding out the package is a ratcheting buckle which provides easy fitting with its subtle adjustment range.

I really like this helmet. It's very easy to adjust, and quite comfortable on my medium sized head. It's also much nicer looking for the urban commuter than most other bicycle helmets. I bought the front and rear Blackburn Flea lights at the same time, which this helmet is designed to mount to. The rear Flea mounts very well. The front Flea could mount a bit more securely, but it seems to be good enough. I also purchased the Bell flip mirror that mounts to the Muni. The Bell mirror is a waste of time. Terrible optics, and very little room for adjustment. Get the Muni. Get the Fleas. Forget the Bell mirror. Buy a Third Eye Pro Helmet Bicycle Mirror instead, and mount it the Muni's visor. It still rotates out of the way when not in use, has better optics, and a larger viewing area.

First off let me say I love this helmet. I was confused at first about which to purchase- the muni or the arella. I'm a female and believe the arella is geared towards women. However the size of the arella helmet maxes out at 57cm or 22.4 inches. I don't believe I have an unusually large head for a female but measuring my head I realized the arella would be too small. So I opted for the white and gray muni and it fits like a dream. Amazon really should separate the muni and arella helmets because you can not tell which it is until you place the item into your cart. Only then will you find out if it's the muni or the arella. Before you become attached to a color, check out the model and understand the sizes.
Even though I purchased the muni, it does not look large on my head. The sizing is all about the inside of the helmet and how your head fits in it. I love the rounded backside of the helmet as I'm not a serious bike rider or racer and do not need to be aerodynamic when I'm just trying to run some errands and get in shape. Also the rounded back is safer in an accident because it will not lead to the twisting of your neck by becoming snagged on something. I also love the integrated lights on the back straps of the helmet. Batteries already included-just remove the safety tags. These provide extra safety at night and you can attach another light to the front and back of the actual helmet. Straps are already there. Also has a retractable mount that you can attach a mirror to. The visor has snaps for easy removal if you choose not to use it. Overall, I'm very pleased with this helmet and pray that no one has to test it out in an accident.

ARELLA AND MUNI are the same style. However, Amazon lumps these two into this one product link. If you order a multi-colored MUNI helmet, you will be sent a Woman's helmet (smaller and fitted towards a woman's had). If you order a solid color, you will be sent a Man's helmet, which are a little larger and shaped differently.
